Robert C. Milhem is a founding partner and principal in the law firm of Solan, Milhem & Hertel, P.S., established in 1988. He restricts his practice to the representation of injured and disabled persons in their worker's compensation and Social Security disability claims.
He is a current and active member of the Washington State Association for Justice with whom he was twice served as Chairperson of the Workers Compensation Section. He is also a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives, Washington State Bar Association, and the Spokane County Bar Association. He also served several years on the Washington State Bar Association's Washington Pattern Jury Instructions for Worker's Compensation sub-committee, has presented at numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars and published numerous articles for legal publications on the subject of Worker's Compensation.
Mr. Milhem received his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in 1976 and his Juris Doctor degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1979.
Jerry Hertel is a founding partner and principal of the law firm Solan, Milhem & Hertel, which was established in 1988 (over 26 years ago). He has over 34 years of jury trial experience in Federal Court and Washington State Courts. Jerry served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Washington from 1979 - 1983 before going into private practice. From 1983 to the present time he has limited his practice to representing workers who have sustained work-place injuries and have been treated unfairly by the Department of Labor and Industries or their employers. He also represents people who are no longer able to work but who have been wrongfully denied Social Security disability benefits.
He is a current and active member of the Spokane County Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Association for Justice. He is also a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR).
Mr. Hertel received his undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor degree from Gonzaga University, graduating from the School of Law in 1979.
